Our mom, Karen is a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In September 2017, she was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiform. GBM is a grade IV tumor that can occur in any lobe of the brain and is considered most aggressive and very infiltrative. Where our mom’s two tumors are located effects her memory, speech, personality, and muscle strength. Her tumors are inoperable.
Prior to being diagnosed, she we was a very active member in the community and a teacher. She enjoyed crafting, spending time in the pool, bunco with her friends, walking and playing with her dog, Hunter, and activities with her family. While she continues to enjoy spending time with family and friends, she is not able to do and enjoy most things that she used to.
Our mom is currently receiving treatment in the form of Chemo and Radiation. Any funds raised will be put towards helping with medical expenses. We are so appreciative of any donations for our mother.
