Karen’s journey started 5.5 years ago with a breast cancer diagnosis. It was scary, but quick. Small lump, virtually unstageable, a quick lumpectomy and some oral medication for 5 years. A blip in the grand scheme of life.
A few months ago, the blip took on a whole new meaning. We’re now facing the beast that is this disease in it’s ugliest form, straight nasty. Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer with metastasis.
This page is predominantly to share information. We have a large village that spans the entire East coast. This was the best way we could think of to keep everyone appraised of the journey.
