In late October Karen was diagnosed with colorectal cancer that had metastasized to her lungs and brain. She had emergency surgery to correct a blockage in her colon and was sent home.  She had radiation treatments just before Thanksgiving and on Monday, November 30th will begin chemotherapy treatments.  She is doing well, rather tired, but is her usual driven, busy self.  We are encouraging her to rest and eat more.

Bill, Karen and their kids celebrated a quiet socially distanced Thanksgiving. Chris, Geoff, Anoopa and Amy are taking turns helping her get to her appointments and see that her treatments are taken care of.   We are helping them live comfortably and enjoy their home.

Please feel free to send cards or call. They love to hear from friends or family.  We will update this site when we know more about what is coming and how she is progressing through treatment.  Your prayers and well wishes are always appreciated.  She knows a lot of people have sent flowers and cards and food and she wants to say a big thank you and apologizes for not being able to respond in person.   Feel free to send greetings on this site. She will see them.
