In July I went for my yearly mammogram. 2 days later I received a called from my dr. Saying she had the results. They found a lump on my left breast. I was sent for an ultrasound and a high pressure mammogram. From there it was deemed necessary to do a biopsy. The biopsy came back as cancer. I meet with the surgeon to get the results of the biopsy. It is stage 2 grade 3. Grade 3 means it is aggressive fast growing. So she decided to do chemo first to stop it from spreading. Surgery won't be until the first of the year. We won't know until chemo is completed if it will be a lumpectomy or mastectomy. One day at a time....one treatment at a time.
