My dear friends and family members. First thank you for the tremendous support over the last few weeks as we learned about Karen's cancer diagnosis. As Karen's husband, I can assure you that both of us and each of our six children really appreciate the kind words of support and especially the prayers. Today Karen had a medical port placed in her upper chest. The port will be used for the chemotherapy she will be receiving as early as January 6. As many of you know we have had to make numerous changes in our daily routine. (placing all kids in school) Karen has had numerous tests such as MRI, PET Scan, echocardiogram, and biopsies as well as blood work testing. Karen is a very strong, faith-filled person who is in really good spirits at the moment. Feel free to leave your own thoughts and Karen or I will respond when able. We love you all!
