August 3rd I found a lump in my breast, the 4th I went to my OBGYN. The 8th I had a mammogram and ultrasound. My mom and Ken and I sat with a radiologist and a nurse who pointed out to us 5 tumors and 2-4 abnormal lymph nodes that caused concern. A few hours after that they performed a biopsy on 2 of the tumors and 1 of the lymph nodes. The 11th I got the call. Luckily I was with Ken at lunch so he was there to keep me "up". I was explained that all 3 had tested positive for cancer. Yep that horrific awful C word! Um hello I'm 35 with 4 kids about to get married in 3 months! REALLY?!? We met with a surgeon the 12th. Who shared with us that we're dealing with stage 2 possibly 3 at a 3 grade. So my cancer is about as aggressive as me. (FUCKER) I went for MRI today the 15th (to confirm it has stayed put) shortly after the apt I got a good call despite the circumstances and was told it was contained to only the left breast and 2 lymph nodes I have it cornered and it doesn't stand a chance. The 16th tomorrow we met with the oncologist. I will go through chemo in the next week or so and eventually have a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery (let's face it I've always hated these boobs and wanted new ones) and possibly radiation.  Long term 6 months to a year. I will be a very bald bride in November but about as tough as they come.
