I found out a few weeks ago that I have breast cancer. There is still a lot we don’t know but we do know that I'm going to have a bilateral mastectomy. I am ER+, PR +, HER2- (which is also good news). I’ll find out the Stage after surgery. It looks like we caught it early so that is really good. We are optimistic that is hasn’t spread to the lymph nodes but won’t know for sure until after surgery. I’ll also find out after surgery if my cancer will respond to chemo. My genetic results came back negative which is also good news.
Clay and I have had lots of highs and lows these last few weeks. We have had an amazing circle of friends and family giving us love and support. I can’t thank everyone enough for all the love. I’m having a hard time updating everyone individually after appointments so I am going to give most updates here.
