Karen was diagnosed with Inflamatory Breast Cancer (particularly agressive type) in early November 2017. Treatment options were limited due to her triple negative receptors but agreesive chemo was started ASAP with hopes of a cure.
There were several bumps in the road along the way yet the battle appeared to be moving in the right direction until April 6 when news came that the cancer had spread to the brain.
