Kara McKean Kara's Village

Kara McKean is currently in the PICU of MCV Hospital, Richmond. She is diagnosed with flu and pneumonia, and is receiving medical support as she rests and heals.

Helen and James thank you for the outpouring of support, concern, and offers to help. At this time, the family requests no visitors as they focus on supporting Kara and advocating for her health needs. Please check back frequently to this site for updates, and please leave a message of support here for family members if you wish.

Cards, photos, and letters of support are encouraged! If you would like to help, Visa/Mastercard gift cards would enable grocery purchases, gas, and meals, and help to meet other immediate expenses of Kara's family members. You may mail or drop items at the following locations. Please make sure your item is clearly marked for "Kara McKean" if you drop off in person.
