As most of you know I have been dealing with unexplained debilitating  hypersomnia that I have not been able to get answers to.  I recently went to Mayo Clinic and one of the things they wanted me to do was a PET scan.  I did that last week and there was a spot that they didn't like the way it looked but we were sure it was scar tissue.  Unfortunately, after the biopsy it was the worst possible news.  The cancer is back.  It is in the tissue between my 2nd and third rib.  I don't have a lot of details other than that.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for the support and gifts.  It means the world to me and keeps me going.  I am sorry I have not been responding back. Please don't take it personally.  I have to keep myself super busy to help me deal. I wanted to update everyone on what is going on.  I went to the doctor on Friday and she said this is a rare recurrence that only happens in 5 percent of people.  It is between my 2nd and 3rd rib and is Her2 positive.  My doctor wants me to get a 2nd opinion.  Her thoughts are that I will have to have 12 straight weeks of chemo, then radiation and herceptin.  I heard from Mayo Clinic and I will be going up there next Wednesday. I have set up a Caring Bridges website to help keep everyone updated. XO
I am also asking if anyone has any oncologists or people they think I should see I would really appreciate it.
