Very early in the morning on Sunday, March 19th, Kailey was taken by ambulance to Enloe Hospital because she was having difficulty breathing. After a short time at Enloe, the decision was made to take her by air ambulance to Sutter Health in Sacramento. It was determined she had suffered from severe brain damage due to oxygen deprivation. Since then, Kailey has been in the Pediatric ICU and later to their pediatric ward. She was moved to UC Davis Sacramento for therapy on the first week of May. In early June she was sent home to continue therapy with her parents and local therapists. Her progress has been slow.
