I wanted a way to keep everyone updated as she goes through her medical journey!


Kaaya was diagnosed with Vein of Galen Malformation and high output cardiac failure when she was 4 days old. She was in the nicu at Texas Childrens for 3 months. At 2 1/2 months she wasn't getting any better and a doctor in New York by the name of Dr. Berenstein said it was time for her first surgery or she wouldn't make it past 5 months. We hopped on a plane 2 days later to NYC and her 1st embolization quickly followed. Though she faced some complications, she came out of it like a champ. And she's continued to outshine each surgery since then. She is no longer in heart failure, and ishe a thriving 18 month old! We are so proud of her journey and look forward to the day she is finally cured. Thank you for all of your continuous support and prayers. They mean the world to us.
