In 2015, we learned that Justin had Familial Adenomatous Polyposis FAP through genetic testing. My mom, my sister, my nephew and I all have this genetic disorder that causes colon cancer in nearly 100% of patients who are not treated.
Last fall, Justin had his first endoscopy and colonoscopy, and it was discovered that he already had a significant number of colorectal polyps.
The only treatment is surgery- a total colectomy or removal of the entire large intestine. This is a journal record of his upcoming surgeries.
