Monday, February 19th, Julie and Randy went to the University of Minnesota so Julie could go through testing to be put on the lung transplant list. Wednesday, February 21st, Julie was hospitalized for low oxygen levels. That Friday she was accepted on the list for a transplant. Tuesday, February 27th, Julie was placed on a ventilator and ECMO to support her lungs and heart as we waited for a donor. In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 1st, we received the call that lungs were on their way. By that afternoon she had the transplant surgery. We are now celebrating a new birthday in our family. She is very strong and is currently in recovery. God is good and answered our prayers!
