Hi All,

You may or may not be aware that Julie has been experiencing some difficult times with her health recently which is why we haven't headed back to America this summer.

We haven't really known too much until today in terms of a plan and definitive next steps. So we know at times it has seemed like a slow process for some of you, including us - and that we haven't communicated a lot, if it all so far.

Now that we have more of an idea we thought it easiest to let you all have an update and thank you for any thoughts and prayers that you have been sending our way, we really appreciate all your concern and love.

To cut a very long and worrying story short, unfortunately, we have found out that Julie's Neuroendocrine cancer has returned. Meaning that she has been experiencing some considerable abdominal discomfort and severe anaemia which has left her needing blood transfusions over the last few weeks. This will undoubtedly continue to be the case over the immediate short term.

So where does this leave us?

Well, the good news is that surgery is an option - which means a tough time - but one that will hopefully lead to a much better outcome long term.

So Julie will now have to have some major surgery at the end of August which will mean she is out of action for a while. We don't yet know what will come next - but it may be a long road like we have experienced before, only time will tell.

If you are unsure of how to react or behave when you see any of us, then we understand, having had experience of this before we find that the best advice we have from that time is to just be yourself with us, whether that's normal, upset or just being funny - we are trying our best to be us and live our lives as much as we did before we found out.

We know this isn't for everyone - but we are planning on trying to keep people up to date with Julie's progress by using this website that is useful if you want to check in occasionally.  This will be quicker and more straight forward than us reaching out to everyone continually... As we get more info and Julie's story unfolds we will be posting updates in the journal section.  So please keep checking in..

Take care of yourselves and each other - Lots of Love Julie, Stuart, Jacob, Jude and Luke xxxxx
