Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Julie underwent a routine mammogram in May during which multiple areas of concern in her right breast were discovered.  Sanford breast clinic performed three more mammograms, multiple ultra sounds, and a biopsy.  June 6th we received the news that Julie has stage 1 breast cancer.  July 7th Julie had a complete mastectomy of her right breast and reconstruction began.  Surgery was successful and we received the great news of no lymph node involvement.  Julie is set to begin chemotherapy on August 6th.  Julie will undergo chemotherapy every week for 12 weeks and then every 3 weeks for 9 months.  Julie has a long road ahead but we are all eternally grateful for the positive prognosis and wonderful care she has received.  Julie is starting to see the medical bills pile up and has had to miss a substantial amount of work to recover from her surgery and will have more time off due to chemo.  We appreciate everyone’s support and well wishes over this life changing 2 months. Thank you!!
