Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
If you know Julie Heimer it is usually because you have confided in her while relaxing at her station in her salon while getting your hair done. She is always the one to lend a listening ear or help you through a tough time. She is caring, thoughtful and considerate of other feelings and what they are going through. She tries to meet people anywhere they are in life and help the less fortunate through a hard time.
Recently, Julie was given some unfortunate news that she has been diagnosed with cancer for a second time  (which is located in her jaw, throat and tongue). This time she was told It was a little more elaborate and complicated than just doing radiation and she would need an extensive surgery at U of M to remove it. There are many parts to the surgery and the hospital time alone will be up to 10 days long with 6-8 weeks time to recover. Also, her surgery will need to be done at U of M instead of here at home.  We will keep you up to date as she begins her treatment.
Caring bridge donations are encouraged but please know they are used to power the caringbridge website and are not going to her and the family personally.  If you would like to donate to her personally please let myself or Stacey Preston know as we are working on setting up a way to make that happen.

Thank you for visiting!
