Three weeks ago, Julie was told she has Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. The cancer traveled to her lungs, lymph nodes and stomach. She had her first session of chemo last Friday and handled it in the DeWald stubborn fashion. She conquered her first of three treatments. The second treatment is on May 18th. We can't believe we are doing this again. If Cancer were a lottery, we would be multi-millionaires. :) A good friend recently told me "pain has a precious side" and she is right. Pain has a way of forcing you to focus on what is truly important in life. There is NOTHING more important than family. As her younger sister, I couldn't be more proud. As many of you know, she hasn't been dealt the best of cards. However, she continues to amaze me with her genuine kindness and love for all attitude. I admire her for her strength and and her positive outlook on life. Julie has always protected me, and now it's my time to return the favor.
She is currently living with our mom. Without a doubt, she would love to hear from all of you. Please use this site to communicate with her.
