In early May 2020, Julie had a routine mammogram where they discovered a couple of abnormal areas. After an ultrasound, biopsy, and an MRI,  it was determined that she has invasive ductal carcinoma in her left breast. More specifically, tests showed Julie has three lumps (one confirmed as cancerous) as well as cancer in two lymph nodes. On a brighter note, cancer has not spread to any other areas of her body. 🎉

So what happens now? Treatment will include several months of chemo, followed by surgery, possibly radiation, and more chemo. The whole grueling process should take about a year.

With that in mind, we thank you for visiting Julie's CaringBridge website and hope that you'll ask to receive updates as we add them during Julie's journey. There will be many opportunities to pitch in and help as well as offer words of support and encouragement you can offer in the comments section.

If you would like to help with meals for Julie on her chemo days as well as the day immediately following each treatment, you can visit her MEAL TRAIN by clicking the following link: https://mealtrain.com/ok0mmn.

Please help us uplift Julie and give her what she needs during this difficult time.🙏
