Welcome to CaringBridge, Cousin Wendy Kate is opening a communications board to provide updates and information on Julia Woods Karlsson. October of 2016, Julia found out that she needed surgery for a tumor in her uterus. Julie's surgery, in Portland ME, was to take 2-3 hours, but after 5 and half hours the surgeons had resected the majority of the tumor. In November, the biopsy results came back and Julia is diagnosed with Stage III C Ovarian Cancer. Julia is a survivor and and a fighter. Let's rally around Julia and keep her in our prayers.
