So, five years after my heart attack at 42, I failed a stress test. The blood flow through my heart is slowing down to a dangerous level. I have five blockages in the arteries around my heart from 25% to 90%. The meds that have kept my blood flowing well are no longer enough. So, on St. Patrick's Day this year (Friday, March 17, 2017), I will be having cardiac bypass surgery. My doctor, Christopher T. Salerno, who is the "Surgical Director Heart Transplant & Mechanical Assist" surgeon at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana at the 106 and N. Meridian location in Carmel, Indiana, feels that this will be a relatively routine procedure. HA....easy for him to say! Everybody send me your prayers...I will take all the help I can get!
