Juliet Hefty JuJu Bee Strong!

First post: May 16, 2017 Latest post: Jul 26, 2017

For the last few weeks, Juliet has been having neurological symptoms (we now know they were likely simple focal seizures she was experiencing). She was scheduled for a neurology appointment on May 22nd. However, on May 10th,  she had a tonic clonic seizure (formally referred to as grand mal) while in PE at school. She was rushed to UW Children's Hospital and many tests including an MRI and CT Scan were performed. These tests revealed that she had an area of abnormal blood vessels on the right superior parietal lobe known as leptomeningeal angiomatosis.  Before treatment options can be determined, she needs an angiogram, 24 hour EEG, and many more tests.  We will use this page to keep friends and family up to date on what is going on.
