Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

My mom, Judy, was diagnosed with breast cancer in October,  2020.  This came as quite a surprise to us, as not only were there no known major risk factors, but she is also 2 years out from a bladder cancer diagnosis too.  The last 2 years have been difficult given some reactions to the bladder cancer treatment that left her hospitalized and needing ongoing care.

The good news is that her bladder cancer seems to be under control and the type of breast cancer she has is treatable with an excellent prognosis.  In November she will have surgery to remove the cancer.  Once recovered from surgery, she will have 4-6 weeks of daily radiation treatment.   Her medical team feels very optimistic about the outcome.

We will use this site to provide updates as so many of you have reached out to her, shared your stories and wished her well.  She is a very strong woman, but also has had a lot of medical procedures in the least 2 years so any support offered is very welcomed.   I anticipate we will start a meal train once we have confirmed the radiation dates, for anyone who wants to help in that way (and if you've experienced my dad's cooking, you would understand why!).

Thank you for all your love and support for my mom.  She is amazing and so appreciative of her friends and family who give her strength.
