Judy Paap Judy Paap: Health Blogh

First post: Jul 7, 2017 Latest post: Aug 15, 2019
June first - I was so lucky Henry insisted  to  get my slight cough checked out.  Before I knew it I was admitted to the hospital, fluid had been found around my lungs containing cancer cells, most likely ovarian.  June 20 - my first chemo treatment, a bit too potent,  going forward will have weekly sessions instead of once every 3 weeks.
No sooner did the news get out, then family and friends rushed in and are doing everything to help us feel as good as can be under these circumstances.
As many of you know, I love the way email, skype, phonecalls and visits keep me connected, but it appears that my own communications did not include Henry and Lauren and confusion ensued.  So based upon the advice of friends, and insistence of family, a caring bridge website is being started.  I was allowed only a few characters for the title, and since I am not sure how it will be updated, I called it a blogh including the "h" to give it a light touch since it reminds me of the word "ugh"! But that is not how I feel right now, indeed am very upbeat and optimistic that this too will pass thanks to the excellent care at our local hospital cancer wing which is affiliated with MGH and Dana Farber, and numerous specialists who are managing my treatment.
Meanwhile I look forward to hearing from you, advice, sharing of stories, pictures, all are welcome.  With gratitude for your love and prayers.  Judy
