Welcome to Judy's CaringBridge site. We appreciate your support and words of encouragement and hope and prayers for Judy!

This site has been created to keep family and friends updated on her journey as she seeks medical treatments. As many of you know, in November 2020, Judy was diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer and has been receiving hormonal therapy and radiation since then to treat lesions in her spine. In early January 2021, we learned that the cancer had further spread to her liver, and upper spine (C3). She started radiation on January 26 for the C3 tumor, and on February 2nd will have a port put in to begin chemo.

Judy has always been a strong woman, has been in good mental and physical health and her positive attitude has helped her healing journey thus far. For those who know the “Melcher genes,” she is the oldest of 6 from the Melcher family, and as she puts it … is “one strong cookie.”

We are grateful for the support of family and friends, and we thought this would be a great platform for Judy to share her journey and to be uplifted by loved ones as she goes through chemo and the challenges that come with it. Thank you for keeping Judy in your thoughts and prayers.
