Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated on Judy’s cancer journey. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Judy developed COVID-19 infection about 5 weeks ago. Symptoms persisted and her doctor ordered a chest CT that showed a 3cm mass on her right lung. Her breathing worsened over the next few weeks and was taken to the Emergency room on Tuesday the 18th. Repeat CT showed the mass grew significantly. A breathing tube was put in to help her breathe because the mass was pushing on her wind pipe. She was diagnosed with large B cell lymphoma and had her first dose of chemotherapy on Wednesday 10/26. She had a scope to place stents to open the airways in her lungs. Mom has had a few side effects from the chemotherapy including a small blood clot in the lung and excessive sedation or sleepiness. The ICU doctors are currently working on weaning sedation and trying to wake her up. She needs to be awake to be able to remove the breathing tube.

This will be a long road and we appreciate the thought and prayers. We will keep everyone updated along the way.
