Judy Engelman

dear friends,Please forgive this group email but it is expedient. On Friday December 9 while attending. Mood Disorders conference, I stumbled and crashed into an end table and fractured 5 ribs including 2 in a few places. I have been in the ICU at Scottsdale Osborn since then. The trauma team has recommended I have a plate put in tomorrow to stabilize the breaks and make it less painful to breathe. That way I will heal faster. He told me about a 90 year old lady who had it done and was out in 2 days. Surgery is tomorrow at 9 and all prayers are gratefully appreciated.I will set up a caringbridge site for updates so Harry can get some rest. Please forgive me if I don't email much or talk. Both are a challenge at present. We both so appreciate all of your love and support. We believe in having at least one major surgery each year to find out who our friends REALLY are...I.e. HARRY'S brain surgery and now my rib surgery! Really, just kidding. There are easier ways I'm sure. Like who accepts Teddy just as he is!
Anyway, though it hurts to laugh, anything funny helps the soul.To be continued...love to all...Judy  Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
