On the 24th of September 2012, Mama had a minor surgical procedure. Two days later we learned that Mama had uterine cancer from the biopsies taken during the procedure. We were blessed to be referred to OU were things have moved quickly since there is concern that this may be a rare and aggressive type of cancer. Surgery was scheduled for the 10th of October 2012, and we are praying for a less aggressive diagnosis following the final pathology report.
Following the 2012 diagnosis of cancer, subsequent surgery and radiation treatments, mama was declared cancer free in very early 2013.
We went a few months over 3 years when in June of 2016 , a tumor was found in her lower left pelvic region and we are now once again going to kick cancer's butt!!!
