Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Judith was diagnosed with ocular melanoma three years ago in November 2014. She was treated with a radioactive plaque on her right eye, which successfully killed the tumor. She has been having scans every 6 months checking for metastasis in the liver and lungs.

Judith’s late September scan showed a large mass in her liver. The results of additional testing confirmed that the cancer had metastasized to the liver and bones. Thankfully Judith has a wonderful team of doctors here in Nashville at Vanderbilt Hospital and is consulting with Dr. Sato’s team at Jefferson Memorial in Philadelphia. There is no known cure for ocular melanoma once it has metastasized.  However, there is treatment.

On Monday, October 30th, Judith will begin treatment, a chemoembolization, which will hopefully provide some extra days of quality life. We covet your prayers during this painful time.

Judith loves to hear from all her family and friends.  Always feel free to reach out to her:
