Jude Andrews The Incredible Jude

On July 19, 2019,  5-year-old Jude went into surgery to repair a hernia. Instead, the surgeon discovered an 8 cm tumor where his testicle should've been. The tumor was removed and after almost two weeks, Jude was diagnosed with Embryonal Rhabdomyoscarcoma.

He has a great team of oncologists at Children's National Health Center in Washington, D.C.  ( with a solid tumor specialist and a Rhabdomyoscarcoma specialist) and they believe his cancer is still at a low stage, so despite the initial misdiagnosis his prognosis is good and his doctors remain optimistic.

He was brought back to Children's National Health Center in Washington, D.C. for a PET Scan and an MRI, which determined the cancer had spread to one lymph node at the back of his abdomen. This is positive news as it had not spread anywhere else in his body.

His team has decided to give him 6 months of chemotherapy along with a short round of localized radiation to prevent any tumors from returning.

Jude is a tough dude and we expect he will come through this, but we do appreciate everyone's support during this difficult time for our family.

Thank you so much for following along. We appreciate your attention and care!
