Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
As most of you know, Judah was born with Noonan Syndrome and diagnosed at 3 months old. Since then, he has had multiple issues that we tackle one at a time. This time it is 2 atrial septal defects and a pulmonary stenosis. He will undergo open heart surgery at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on June 19th at approximately 8:00 am. They will cut a portion of his heart tissue out where the holes are located, make a patch with his pericardium and sew that to the area. They will also evaluate the valve and decide if anything needs to be done with that at this time.
Judah is a very strong and brave boy but could use all of the prayers possible. He knows very well what is going on and has asked his own set of questions and concerns to doctors, nurses and us. He has a great support system of friends, family and church members and we thank you all very much for being there for all of us. We will try to update as much as possible in the time of our hospital stay and during recovery at home. The expected hospital stay is 4-5 days as long as there are no issues.
Feel free to post your well wishes to Judah as we will share them with him every day!
