Having recently moved into their new home mom and dad were enjoying the retired life! They moved in late July, the flood hit and immediately they had two additional families under their roof. They were just getting rid of all of her "live-ins" from the flood when Mom was becoming forgetful or as she would refer to it she was having "Some-Timers". Her forgetfulness kept getting worse so we brought her to her PCP. He recommended we see a Neurologist. It took longer getting into see a neurologist than we thought. We FINALLY get in to see the Neurologist just in time as her symptoms were increasingly getting worse. Staring out into space, she was disconnected, in her own little world, her routine was not the same and important things were being forgotten. We were thinking early on set Alzheimers or possibly Dementia. The Neurologist moves to have blood work and MRI completed before making a diagnosis. The Journey begins; only it's a journey no one ever expected.
