On December 26, 2019, during a routine physical, my PCP felt a large mass in my right breast. Because it was tender when she touched it, and because she could move it, I think she believed it was a cyst. Still she referred me ASAP for a diagnostic mammogram/ultrasound, which were performed on January 2, 2020. I was referred for a biopsy the next day, and on Monday, January 6, 2020, I received the call every woman dreads - I have breast cancer.
