Family & Friends - thanks for joining us on Josh's journey!  Over the last 3 months our son Josh (15) has had a rapid slide into blindness.  He's always had extreme myopia and even surgical correction for a wandering 'lazy eye.'  But from mid-Oct to early Dec he dropped from 20/60 in his good eye to 20/800--that's WITH corrective lenses.  Such rapid Retinal dystrophy is very very rare; remaining detail/color Cone function is at 15% in one eye and none in the other.  Losses have hit hard some days, but our God has used the adversity to  call out determination from Josh & love from so many.   As a family we opened the gift of perspective this Christmas!  We are using this CaringBridge  page to keep you all updated in one place.   This site is FREE to you and we will donate monthly via the Tribute button while using it.   Life without visual cues is isolating at first, so from time to time please send a few words, a high five, a slice of normal, or a future look.  Click the Well-Wishes button to do this.  Josh will listen to them via 'Voiceover,' and we hope he will periodically write a Journal Entry.   Thanks again for your love & care!    Pete & Lori, for the Kroll family
