Josh tested positive for Covid around Christmas time. He had a cough and other classic Covid symptoms that seemed to mostly resolve. However, the symptoms returned and became even more severe. On January 30th, Josh was brought to Welia Hospital in Mora. He had a fever, a cough and low oxygen levels. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, and put on meds. He was discharged after four days in the hospital.

Unfortunately, Josh had to be brought to the ER on February 12th, with the same symptoms (fever, cough, low oxygen, etc). This time he was transferred to Unity Hospital in Fridley. They also diagnosed him with pneumonia and prescribed new medications. He was discharged after one week in the hospital.

Then on February 23rd, Josh was brought back to the ER and transferred to Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. They performed numerous tests and put him on oxygen. He was getting weaker and losing weight. His oxygen levels continued to deteriorate, despite having been on full oxygen. On March 7th,  Josh was moved to the ICU in critical condition and put on a ventilator and paralytics.
