Welcome! We're using this site to keep you updated on Josh and his illness. You can subscribe to get email updates whenever we post something new. We will also continue using Facebook to update, but this will be a way that you can be sure you don't miss one.

Josh, his wife Jules, and baby Belle live and work in a rural area of Southeast Asia. When Josh started having low grade fevers, they just assumed it was one of the many sicknesses that can come from living in the third world. When Josh's fever spiked and he started having tingling and numbness in his extremities, they took him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with Typhoid Fever from some lab work. He did not have the normal symptoms of typhoid though, and his numbness and weakness started to spread, and so they started to suspect something else. His condition very quickly worsened, and the doctors established that it was not Typhoid, but something much more severe. They suspect that he may have Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS). Due to the lack of good healthcare, and his very quickly developing symptoms, he was medivaced to Singapore, where he will receive better care at an infectious disease hospital. Currently he cannot walk at all, he only has movement in his fingers and toes. He also cannot swallow.

Josh and his family need help with the expenses connected to his illness. There is a cost of $30,000 for the medivac. There will also be at least $50,000 in medical costs, as Josh's insurance had expired and he was in the process of finding a new policy for his family.  If you can help even with a small donation it would be very much appreciated. There are two ways you can donate. 1.) Perhaps simpler: Send your donation to his sister Kristen's PayPal, kristen.islands@gmail.com and she will pass donations on to him. 2.) If you'd like a tax receipt, you can also give at the iGoworld.org (http://igoworld.org/) website (https://www.igoworld.org/donate (https://www.igoworld.org/donate/)). There is no place on the online form to designate the gift, so please send an email to helpingjosh@igoworld.org with their name, amount, and who it is for to make sure it gets to him.

Please be in prayer. We will do our best to keep you updated as things progress.
