Joshua Thomas Beilby has been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. It is a mystery to the medical community as to how this could be. His symptoms appeared a month or so ago. He has never smoked. He does not drink and has never used drugs. All of these are possible triggers to the disease. As he approaches his 40th bday he will be in for the fight of his life.
His dad has told him from the very beginning that recovery is his only option. Josh is optimistic and plans on being around for a really long time. He promised his beautuful wife that they would grow old together and we are holding him to that promise.
Chemotherapy will begin soon. The road ahead may not be easy and we may have a few detours along the way. But we will travel this recovery journey together. With family and friends by his side he will never ever be alone. We will embrace the good days that are ahead and be there always for the not so good ones.
