Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've started a CaringBridge site once again to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

As most of you know we have been watching and trying different things to correct Josephs scoliosis and kyphosis. After all of Josephs hard work we are facing surgery. We met with Dr. Noonon on Thursday, January 15 to go over details of surgery. The surgery will be on February 9th at American Family Children's Hospital, one of our favorite places:) It will be a 5 hour surgery. Joseph will be in ICU for a day or two and then transferred to the 8th floor. We teased him about being transferred to the penthouse suite. This is a newer floor at the hospital and unbelievably one we have not stayed on. He will be in the hospital 5 to 7 days. After returning home he will be out of school for the next 3-4 weeks returning after that for 1/2 days for at least a week. All of this is dependent on how fast he recovers and what he feels like.

In the past we have used Caring Bridge to keep all of our friends and family posted. It has been a great and valuable tool. The last time we used this Joseph was younger and I appreciated all of the posts in the guestbook. Now that he is older I am sure he will enjoy reading the posts himself.
