Joseph's jornery began February 7th 2011, he was born a seemingly healthy 7lb 7oz baby boy, it was only hours after his birth that we noticed something wasn't quite right. He never had a bowel movement, ever bottle he was given he threw up. They changed his milk many times with no luck. The next night doctors at Southeast Alabama medical center (samc) devised to run test after test, after the xrays came back they told us there was a twist in his lower intestine and he needed to be air lifted to children's of Birmingham right away for emergency surgery.
