On New Year's Day, John and Joregette were involved in a head-on car crash on their way to Eau Claire. Two other vehicles were involved in the crash. Unfortunately two of the passengers in the other vehicle involved were killed. John and Joregette were both transported to Mayo in Eau Claire.
They were both listed in serious, but stable condition. John suffered a fractured sternum and a bruised wrist and hip. Doctors released him the evening of Jan 1st after determining resting at home with pain medication would be best for him.
Joregette received more extensive injuries including: -9 fractured ribs and sternum -broken right wrist -compound fractured right ankle -fractured c2 vertebrae in her neck.
She underwent surgery to repair the ankle and wrist the evening of Jan 1st. Luckily she didn't suffer any internal injuries to any organs or head trauma.
The air bags and seat belts saved them without a doubt. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the two deceased young women and others injured in the crash.
