Thank you for taking time to pray and read up on Joren. He has been through a tough journey the last two weeks, but is making good progress towards getting better. This is what we know today.
He has Osteomyolytis with MSSA. Basically he has an infection in his left humerus bone. They are treating the infection with IV antibiotics. He is still struggling with high fevers, but not as high as last week. He is also struggling with night sweats. He is getting great care with a team of doctors. Every morning they do a blood cultures. When we have three days in a row with a negative blood culture than we talk about going home. After we leave the hospital, he will be on Antibiotics and have follow up care for 4 to 6 weeks.
