Welcome to our CaringBridge website; we are using it to keep family and friends updated on Jordan's progress in one easy-to-use place.

Jordan was born with bilateral hip dysplasia. He will be having hip surgery (left PAO, possible left VDO, possible left hip capsulorrhaphy for any medical readers) on September 9th at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul. He will be in the hospital for approximately 5 days, possibly in a wheelchair (depending upon what occurs during surgery with his femur) until October 20th possibly in a left long-leg Robert Jones cast (extended leg) (casting again depends upon what occurs during surgery), transitioning to a walker or starting out with a walker following surgery with multiple weekly PT visits probably starting after 3 weeks. Following surgery, he will be home for approximately one week, starting school part-time after approximately a week at home, transitioning to full-time when he is able. There are many variables as to how it all will look dependent upon what they do to the femur.

Recover and repeat, his right hip is scheduled to be done on March 30th.  This will be a trying year for our family as our hearts are breaking that our angel has to go through this.

We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement during this difficult time as he will not understand why this is happening to him. Areas of concern are of course his overall safety, infection, nerve damage, a successful outcome and Jordan's drive and desire to recover.

Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
Psalm 30:2

May he dance to the Wiggle Nya Nya Nya song soon.

Thank you for visiting.
