2018 started out scary for us. We were at the coast with Vicki's parents and her sister and her family, and Jordan and Neil were climbing up some rocks above the beach and Jordan grabbed a rock that came loose and he fell about 20 to 25 feet, possibly hitting rocks on the way down, and landed on a big rock. Vicki and I were right there, we helped him onto the beach, I called 911. There were very few people on the beach but a young female doctor came running up and helped us through the whole thing. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital. After they did a scan, we found out that he had internal injuries and bleeding. The liver was ruptured and his right kidney was tore off and was irreparable. They have not opened him up, but they did a successful procedure through his groin to stop the serious bleeding from the liver and other areas. There were also small collapses in the upper lungs.  He has multiple scratches all over, his chin was messed up pretty bad and there is teeth damage. He was awake and alert through the whole ordeal until they started giving him pain meds. They are keeping really close watch over him waking him every hour and making him answer questions.  The main concern is the liver that it will be able to heal. He will be in ICU about a week is what they think.
