Jon Hill Jon's Stroke Journey

First post: Jun 18, 2017 Latest post: Aug 14, 2017
On Memorial Day, Jon suffered a massive stroke at the age of only 44. He underwent a highly risky brain surgery that day to remove the clots, and against all odds, he survived.

The next week and a half were spent in the ICU where they determined that the stroke affected his brain stem, which means a wide variety of basic body functions may be impacted. Jon is a fighter and has made some good progress with moving his arms, legs, hands, and feet; opening his eyes; and eventually re-learning to breathe on his own. There have undeniably been miracles and blessings, and an outpouring of love and support, but there is still a long road ahead.

Our family wanted to start this page so that our loved ones can stay up to date on this journey. We are so, so grateful for all of the kindness that has been shown to us. Thank you for the support; we are truly blessed!
