This unfortunate circumstance started back in August of 2017. Jonathan is a very hard worker and at times he pushes himself too much, and he could end up in the hospital, I always thought, from his Dad in a kidding way. Well, with his 1994 truck blowing a transmission on the freeway, his former employer not paying him what they owe and trying to get things done around the house, it has ended him up in ER and then the ICU in the Hospital finding out that his autoimmune system has been recently destroying his platelets! The blood ceased to clot and he began bleeding out of his skin and in his mouth and or could bleed in the brain at any time. A shock to most, a possible life style change for my son and has very little insurance to cover the medical expenses. During all this the steroids applied he was getting hardly NO sleep. Blood fractions were also needed to boost the platelets, which helped. When medication was prescribed the body rejected the combination and short circuited the brain. On September 13, 2017 after 4:30 pm., he didn't know who he was or what day or year it was coming out of a brick layers class traveling and ended up in a UPS parking lot not knowing how he got there, frightening! He was taken to ER at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN and thanks to the Maple Grove police for saving him, he may have died in a car accident. In his own words, "I AM ALIVE!" before he was sedated in ER. He is currently in ICU at North Memorial Hospital and has recently had circumstances beyond his control and at times not being himself, which is indescribable at this point. We care dearly for our Husband, Son, Brother and Friend to many, please comfort him where you can and if you wish to help with medical expenses, I, his Dad, needed to do something, one feels so helpless, but we can pray. If you wish to help you can donate. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts, it is appreciated so very much, Love ALL. Please read updates on CaringBridge at times, under Jonathan Halejak, sorry for some timing issues.
