Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

This is Jolita, Jonas' daughter. My parents were on an RV trip the last week of February when my mom, Judy, noticed that my dad was experiencing some mild stroke-like symptoms. His mouth and eyes were drooping slightly and the following day, she noticed some cognitive impairment and slurred speech. Over the next few days, she  ended up driving the RV the rest of the way back to PA from GA.  When they arrived home on Friday, Feb 26, he was continuing to have slurred speech and his cognitive impairment was worsening. He'd also been experiencing a few severe headaches, as well as difficulty swallowing. The next morning, my brothers and I, along with the help of their family doctor, convinced them to go to the ER to figure out what was going on.

Initial medical tests are showing three separate tumors in the right frontal lobe of his brain, two smaller and one the size of a Clementine orange. We are waiting more tests to see if there are any other tumors in his body. At this point, it is looking like the tumors in his brain are not operable. We don't have biopsy results yet.

Jonas went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2021. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
