Welcome to Jonathan's CaringBridge page. We are using it to keep family and friends updated over his journey through his forthcoming surgery which has been an item of prayer for thousands across the world.
Jonathan was born with a complex heart condition. His great arteries are transposed. As a result he suffered from high blood pressure in his lungs and low oxygen supply to his body-a condition that seriously hampared his growth.
In addition, he has one large hole and several smaller ones in his ventricles. These holes as per the doctor's report are irreparable.
Treatment plan entails three surgeries. The first one aimed at dealing with pulmonary hypertension and improving oxygen supply to the body.
The second stage aims at hopefully further boosting the supply of oxygen to his body without having the heart pump the blood to the lungs.
