In December 2015, mom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma after having fractured her arms with no explanation of why they had broken. With lots of chemo and radiation treatments, and hospitaliztion a few times, the drs feel that a stem cell transplant is a good option for her. On September 12 she will be going up to mayo clinic to start the procedure for the stem cell transplant which could take up to 6 weeks.
