This is so hard to write but I wanted to let you all know that Johnny went home to Jesus yesterday morning. He was under sedation when he passed, so no pain. I got to be with him in his last moments.  If anyone fought hard to stay here, it was Johnny. He told me in one of our many times together recently that he never really felt sick until this last week. We started treatment in Mexico back in March which made him feel blah but never really sick. So that was a comfort. The other comfort is that he went fast, it was not a long drawn out process which, I give thanks to the Lord that in his ever ending mercy he did that for Johnny (and his family)! The doctors and nurses at Little Company remarked again and again how positive he was, and how brave he was. He told one doctor that it is easy to be brave when facing death but when a needle is coming at him, he cowers like a baby! So I think he would say he wasn't brave he just knew where he was going and had so much joy and peace knowing that his final resting place would be with Jesus! I wanted to say thank you on behalf of our family. Your prayers, meals, texts, emails, etc.. meant the world to us! John was definitely loved. He remarked often that he knew the girls and myself would be well taken care of because we have such amazing friends and family!
