Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

I was originally diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2008.   I had the prostate removed in February, 2008 and the pathology report indicated that the tumor was at the edge of the prostate (positive margin) which meant that there could have been some cancer cells left behind (15% chance).   The Gleason Score was 6 which indicates a slower growing cancer.  I had an "undetectable PSA" for 5 years through 2013.  However, my  PSA became detectable again in 2013 and had been fluctuating at a low level (.06 to .08) until the end of 2015.   At that point the PSA increased to 1.3 in 6 months which indicated a need for further intervention.

My situation is not unusual and the prognosis is good.  I will provide updates as I go along and I appreciate the thoughts and prayers from family and friends.   Keeping the Faith!  You can follow my story on the CaringBridge website.
